Long EE sound is one of the top vowel sounds that are spoken most frequently. So mastering this sound will really help you improve your pronunciation.

If you confuse the long EE sound with the short IH sound, you may run into some embarrassing moments. You don’t want to say, “Can I have a shit of paper?” when you actually meant to say “Can I have a sheet of paper?”

First, hear the difference.

The long EE sound as in the word “sheet” is pronounced longer and at a higher pitch than “shit”.
